Professor and Head

Obtained her graduation in Agriculture and Ph.D. (Plant Breeding and Genetics) from Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) and MSc (Plant Breeding and Genetics) from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra. Currently working as Professor, Cocoa Research Centre, Kerala Agricultural University and handling the breeding programmes in the KAU- Cadbury Collaborative Project on Cocoa funded by Mondelez India Foods Pvt. Ltd. Involved in teaching, research, and extension for the last 22 years and has guided 15 MSc and 4 Ph.D. students and have more than 49 research papers to her credit. Principal Breeder for five cocoa hybrids CCRP 11-15 out of which CCRP 15 is the world's first reported hybrid showing complete resistance to VSD evolved through marker-assisted selection.
